Meet the Cast

QUASIMODO

Joshua Cassels

This role is one of a lifetime for Josh, something 30 years in the making. He appreciates every audience member and supporter of the arts here at LTG and beyond. Born and raised in Devon, England, Josh travelled across the pond to study math and physics in East Tennessee (ETSU) but couldn’t escape the pull of the stage and its crafts. His career has seen him in the ensemble of LES MISERABLES, RENT, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, and THE ADDAMS FAMILY; BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Beast), MARY POPPINS (Robertson Aye), SWEENEY TODD (Anthony); CLUE (Wadsworth), THE NORMAL HEART (Ned Weeks), CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF (Brick), and THE GLASS MENAGERIE (Tom). Josh has also spent considerable time working behind the scenes as stage manager (THE MUSIC MAN), and director (LEADING LADIES), as well as costume and set design on multiple projects going back a decade and a half. Josh is overwhelmed with gratitude for this experience. Danielle, Maria, Andrea, E&L Parker, all of LTG. Jesse, Mama, Cassie, Mil, Hais, Ad and Ari. Mum and Dad, Haz, Vee and Char. And you, the audience. Enjoy our show and always make sure you’re asking yourself…what makes a ‘monster’, and what makes a ‘man’?

ESMERALDA

Ananda Thompson

Ananda Thompson (Esmeralda) is so grateful to be part of this production at Little Theater of Gastonia. Ananda has been last seen on stage in SHREK THE MUSICAL (Elf/Queen Lillian), and SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL (Pearl). When not on stage, Ananda spends her time with friends, thrifting and crafting!

CLAUDE FROLLO

Trey Pittman

Trey Pittman (Claude Frollo) is thrilled to make his Little Theatre of Gastonia debut with this role and an incredible cast. With a background in classical music and immense love of storytelling, he has performed in various productions around the Charlotte area. His favorites include EURYDICE (Nasty Interesting Man),  LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD: THE OPERA (Big Bad Wolf), and LA FILLE DU RÉGIMENT (Chorus). When not performing, he enjoys cooking and sewing his own costumes.  Thank you to Danielle and LTG for this incredible opportunity and to this cast for such a warm welcome.

Luca Nunnally

Luca Nunnally (Clopin) recently returned to his home state of North Carolina after getting his bachelor's degree in film at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. This is his first time back on the stage after a 12-year absence. His last show was LES MISÉRABLES, and he's glad to be returning to the Paris of Victor Hugo once again with THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME.

JEHAN FROLLO/Ensemble

Benjamin Shelton

Benjamin Shelton (Jehan Frollo/Claude Frollo U/S) is excited to make his Little Theater of Gastonia debut in THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME. Previous credits include GUYS AND DOLLS (Harry the Horse), SCROOGE THE MUSICAL (Mr. Fezziwig, Mr. Bleak), CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (Grandpa George/Hoffa), and MATILDA THE MUSICAL (Mr. Wormwood). Benjamin also serves as an a cappella worship leader and bass vocalist. By day, he is a software engineering executive; by night, he can usually be found on a stage, around a car or motorcycle, or spending time with his wife Sarah, their three children, and two dogs. Benjamin would like to thank his family for their endless support and encouragement.

Becca Hatton

Becca Hatton (Florika/Gypsy Ensemble) is so excited to be back at the Little Theater of Gastonia this summer! Becca is a junior studying Communications and Business Administration at North Carolina State University. She has been in 20+ productions across the last 10 years, and was last seen on stage in CABARET (Helga), MAMMA MIA! (Donna), and MEAN GIRLS (Regina George). When not performing, Becca likes to crochet, read, and travel!

Jacob Bailey

Jacob Bailey (Saint Aphrodisius) is grateful to once again be performing at the Little Theater of Gastonia. Jacob was last seen on stage at LTG in CABARET (Hans), and SWEENEY TODD (Ensemble). When not on stage, He enjoys playing video games and performing in events all across the Mars Hill University campus.

DUPIN/KING LOUIS XI

Jacey Hurley

Jacey Hurley (Father Dupin/King Louis XI/Gypsy Ensemble) is more than excited to be in his second theater performance and first musical at Little Theater of Gastonia. Last performing in PUFFS (Uncle Dave+), Jacey is hoping to bring more stage experience to this show after nearly a year of practice with improv comedy from his first term at UNCW.

Red Poliandro

Red Poliandro (she/her) (Madam) is honored to help tell the story of HUNCHBACK with LTG. Her previous roles include BROTHERS GRIMM SPECTACULATHON (Gretel, Dwarf #2/Snow White), SEUSSICAL (Sour Kangaroo), WILLY WONKA (Mrs. Gloop), BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Wardrobe), THE MUSIC MAN (Maud), MATILDA (Bruce), as well as having a range from Soprano I to Tenor I. Today, she will be an Alto with random Soprano high notes. When not performing, Red likes to see whatever professional productions she can for under $50 at Blumenthal and on Broadway. SPECIAL THANKS: her parents for feeding her theater addiction when she was young(er). The people from work who let her change her schedule to do theater again. The great state of New Jersey. Erin Evans

Erin is so happy to be performing once more at Little Theater of Gastonia. Erin was last seen on stage in DEADLINE (Brenda), THE HOBBIT (Ori), and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST BALLET (Village girl and Gaston’s wife). When not on stage, Erin enjoys the arts and spending time in nature.

Lizzy Shelton

Lizzy Shelton (Gargoyle) is excited to make her Little Theater of Gastonia debut in THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME. Lizzy was most recently seen in CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (Ensemble), MATILDA THE MUSICAL (Tommy), and SCROOGE THE MUSICAL (Ensemble). She has also trained through Matthews Playhouse School of Theatre and the Lumi School of Theater’s Acting the Song program. Lizzy is a 6th grader at South Charlotte Middle School and somehow manages to balance theater with a very busy social life. When not on stage, she enjoys spending time with her friends, going on family adventures, and spoiling her beloved dog, Sky Baby. Lizzy would like to thank her family, directors, and castmates for supporting her love of theater.

Miracle Austin

STATUE/ENSEMBLE

Jacob Aderholdt

Jacob Aderholdt (Statue) is new to the Little Theatre of Gastonia, though not new to theatre itself. He has participated in many shows in the past as part of tech crew, including but not limited to LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and BRIGHT STAR. He is a member of the Ensemble at Cleveland Community College, and when not on stage enjoys books and video games.

Melcina Martin

Melcina Martin is so happy to be performing once more at Little Theater of Gastonia. Melcina was last seen on stage in THE COLOR PURPLE (Squeak), and SISTER ACT (Las Vegas Showgirl/Friend of Dolores). When not on stage, Melcina enjoys screenplay writing, voice acting, playing with her cat ArteMist, little things in nature, random glances at the sky and karaoke. One of her self motto's is, "If whimsical is wrong, then I don't wanna be right!" and "Bazinga!" ...Because Sheldon was onto something.

Starr Doucet

Starr Doucet (statue/statue choir) is returning to the stage at Little Theater of Gastonia for a second time. You've seen her before in SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL (who kid). When not on stage, Starr enjoys drawing and playing piano. She has dreams of performing at Carowinds someday like her sister, who she looks up to.

Caleb Sheehan

Caleb Sheehan is ecstatic to be performing for his first time at Little Theatre of Gastonia! At 18 years old and soon to begin his first year in college at UNC at Charlotte, Caleb has been in love with the arts for almost all of his life! He participates in advanced choir, along with even practicing and teaching taekwondo whilst not performing. His love for taekwondo is at full display at King Tiger Taekwondo in Lake Norman! He is so grateful and joyous to make his Little Theatre of Gastonia debut in The Hunchback of Notre Dame!

Carina Nicasio

Carina Nicasio (Gypsy ensemble) is so excited and happy to be performing for her first time at the Little Theater of Gastonia. Carina was like seen on stage in MEAN GIRLS ( cady), LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS ( Chiffon), and INTO THE WOODS ( ensemble). When not on stage, Carina enjoys hanging out with friends and photographing.

Lavon Bynum

Lavon Bynum (Gypsy Ensemble/Florika u/s) is so happy to be performing once more at Little Theater of Gastonia! Lavon was last seen on stage in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Ensemble), as well as QC Concert’s production of HAIR (Tribe) in February of 2026. When not on stage, Lavon enjoys watching horror movies and experimenting with sfx makeup!

Katherine DeMilt

Katherine DeMilt, ensemble, is so happy to be on stage for the second time at Little Theater of Gastonia. Katherine was last seen on stage in CABARET, Frenchie, at UNCA. When not on stage, she enjoys drawing and hanging out with the people she loves the most. She is happy to share her favorite story with you all!

Zoe Madish

Zoe Madish (Gypsy Ensemble) is so happy to be performing in one of her favorite musicals ever! You may have recently seen her on the LTG stage this May in AND THEN THERE WERE NONE (Vera Claythorne.) Some other past favorites include SCAPINO! (Zerbinetta), THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE (Mr. Beaver), SENSE & SENSIBILITY (Fanny “Ferrars” Dashwood & Lady Middleton) and OUR TOWN (Julia Gibbs.) She has been an avid theater performer for 10+ years. Off-stage, Zoe enjoys watching predictable romcoms, reading romance books, baking while blasting music in her headphones, painting landscapes, going to cat cafes, and hyperfixating on musicals (like this one.)

Coraline Ross

Making her debut at The Little Theater of Gastonia, Coraline Ross (Statue Choir) is a rising ninth grader from the small town of Denver, North Carolina. From an early age, Coraline was drawn to music, preferring to belt out Queen or Nonpoint rather than typical children’s songs. As she grew older, that passion expanded into performance. She quickly taught herself ukulele and, within a year, guitar. Just months later, she performed live for the first time and soon became a regular at open mic nights. Coraline’s creativity also shines onstage through school productions, including most recently THE DECENDANTS (Isle of the Lost Ensemble). Her talents extend well beyond music and theater. When she is not performing, she can often be found drawing, designing original characters, writing stories and poems, cooking, or spending time with friends.

Elaina LeBorgne

Elaina LeBorgne is so excited to be performing in her first show at Little Theater of Gastonia! Elaina was last seen on stage in ASSASSINS (Ensemble) at Appalachian State University. She is an incoming junior at Appalachian State University and is a member of Alpha Psi Omega, the National Theatre Honor Society. When not on stage, Elaina enjoys drinking coffee, hanging out with friends, and taking up the whole kitchen table with her diamond arts paintings. She is so grateful for the opportunity to perform again, and has loved working with such an amazing cast and production team!

Farah Hendricks-Doucet

This is Farah Hendricks-Doucet's (statue choir) first show at Little Theater of Gastonia and her first show as an adult. She is making her debut with the encouragement of her daughters, Bree and Starr(also in this show) who are both entertainers. When not on stage, you can find Farah haunting the grounds of Scarowinds with her monster friends or entertaining guests in the park during spring and summer.

Jade Hartman

Jade Hartman (Statue Choir) Is very excited to be in another show at Little Theatre of Gastonia. Elijah was last seen in BEETLEJUICE JR (Beetlejuice) and PERCY JACKSON AND THE LIGHTING THIEF: THE MUSICAL (Mr. Brunner/Chiron) They are 14 and going into the 9th grade. When not performing or preparing for Their next show, Elijah enjoys reading, drawing, and skateboarding. Now that They are going into high school they are joining Their bands Colorguard, and are very excited to gain the new experience!

Olivia Taylor

Olivia Taylor (Statue Choir) is SO excited to be performing for the first time at Little Theater of Gastonia. Olivia is 19 years old and a current sophomore at NC State University. Olivia was last seen on stage in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Rona Lisa Peretti), Mamma Mia! (Ali), Grease (Marty Understudy/Ensemble), The Addams Family (Tech Crew/Set Design) all at Highland Tech and Mean Girls Jr (Mrs Heron/Mathlete Moderator) at Main Street Theater. When not on stage, Olivia enjoys art and crafting as well as reading and writing, and when not doing that she loves hanging out with family and friends.
